Team italy

Italy has participated since the first AoS world held in Milan. Since then the team has always been captained by Andrea Epis who has done an amazing job to grow the community and improve the players. We went from doing tournaments of about 40 players to making this year the biggest tournament in Europe, after the worlds of course, with 200 participants. This also will be a year of rebirth and renewal for us. Andrea after 3 years has rightly passed the baton and other veteran players have also hung up their dice. It will be up to the youngsters to work their way up and especially the experience needed to compete at the international level. This is where our project for the future generation starts again.

The team for the first world championship was started amateurishly, but from year to year we have tried to create a system that is more and more efficient and, above all, fair to the entire community for selecting candidates and team members. This year a further improvement was made by trying through application of mathematical calculations and AI support to make it transparent and objective. Fun little fact. The gatherings of the Italian national team take place in a small remote hotel in the mountains where there is no internet or cell phone coverage. Obviously it was not chosen for this but the absence of signal helps concentration on the game, as well as offering incredibly good dishes for various meals (we are still Italians, we have our priorities 😂)

Team goal for 2025

The team's goals are always the same: to share a wonderful experience in our favorite game with players from other nations under the banner of sportsmanship and to succeed in reaching the podium. We know that with so many changes and novelties it could be a challenge but we are not backing down!
