Team netherlands
The origins of team NL start with Agnes Feher who assembled a group of volunteers willing to represent the Netherlands in the Prague edition. This was a great success and the entire competitive AoS scene in NL cheered us on and got inspired by the scale of this event. The competitive scene and the interest in worlds grew a lot since that edition and the 2 years after that we adjusted the team and played in Amsterdam twice under the captaincy of Jeffrey Nijhoff. Our spots on the final leaderboard may not have improved after Prague but we absolutely feel like our team got much stronger over the past 2 years and we're excited to prove ourselves again in Austria in 2025!
Team goal for 2025
Our primary goal throughout the year will always be to grow the competitive AoS scene in the Netherlands to be healthy, welcoming, friendly, and strong. As a team we want every team that plays us at worlds (or any event for that matter) to walk away from table thinking: "We had the absolute best time playing against these Dutchies, let's do that again!". As for our performance at worlds 2025: we're convinced we're a country capable of being in the top 10 so that 10th place is our minimum target!

best experience at worlds
One experience stands out here, it was at worlds 2023 where our BoC player deployed off the board and the opposing BoC player (Spain) blocked off the entire board in such a way that our player was unable to get back on the board. Memes were born that day, and lessons learnt.
Message to the fans
The Dutch worlds team is nothing without the help of all tournament players in the Netherlands. Thanks everyone for helping us grow and see you all at the tables!
